Berlin/Munich, March 12, 2025
IAA MOBILITY continues to excite attendees, exhibitors, and partners as it returns to Munich for the third time. Interest in the mobility show remains at an all-time high. “Despite the currently challenging times, we are very satisfied. Registrations for IAA MOBILITY 2025 have surpassed those from the previous event in 2023, and our team is actively engaged in many exciting discussions. Personally, I’m delighted to see IAA MOBILITY firmly established in companies’ event calendars, putting it on par with CES in the US. Both CES and IAA MOBILITY are global platforms driving the convergence of technology and mobility—redefining industries, reshaping economies, and addressing one of the most pressing challenges of our time,” says VDA Managing Director Jürgen Mindel.
Halls Nearly Sold Out, Waiting Lists, and Record New Exhibitors
The exhibition halls at Munich Exhibition Center are already almost fully booked. Prominent automotive exhibitors are booking significantly larger spaces at the IAA Summit than in 2023. “There’s still some space left in the remaining halls, but companies interested in IAA MOBILITY 2025 should hurry,” says Tobias Gröber, Head of the Consumer Goods Division at the Messe München. “We’re already managing waiting lists for the IAA Open Space, as well as all areas in downtown Munich are fully booked. Spots are only available at Königsplatz and Ludwigstrasse.”
Leading global companies have already signed up for IAA MOBILITY 2025, including Aito, Audi, AWS, BMW, Bosch, BYD, CATL, Clarios, Continental, Denso, Cupra, Ford, Google, Hitachi Astemo Europe GmbH, Magna, Mahle, Mercedes-Benz, Mobileye, Opel, Polestar, Porsche, Qualcomm, Renault, Riese & Müller GmbH, Samsung, Schaeffler, Schwalbe, Valeo, Volkswagen Group, Volkswagen brand, XPENG, and ZF Group, aiming to showcase their groundbreaking innovations.

Moreover, 22% of exhibitors are attending for the first time, including automakers such as Foton and Hyundai, suppliers like Aisin, Hitachi Astemo, HOLON, Hyundai Partners, and technology companies such as 3M, RoboSense, TCL, and Thundersoft.
Once Again Firmly in Focus at IAA MOBILITY: Watch, Feel, Test
From eBikes to autonomous vehicles, from driver-assist systems to charging infrastructure, visitors can once again experience innovations firsthand. The IAA Open Space will feature six departure points for guided test drives by various vehicle manufacturers. The exhibition center will also offer test-drive opportunities for industry professionals, including experiences with autonomous driving technologies, assistance systems, and sensors.
IAA Open Space Makes the Future Accessible—For all Generations in Central Munich
IAA MOBILITY 2025 once again transforms Munich’s city center into an interactive stage for the future of mobility. At IAA Open Space visitors experience a unique blend of innovation, entertainment, and interactive experiences—free of charge and accessible to everyone.

In 2025, the northern part of Ludwigstrasse becomes the dedicated Cycling & Micromobility Area. Adjacent to the test track in the English Garden, exhibitors will showcase bikes, e-scooters, and micromobility products. The highlight remains the Cycling Test Track, a four-kilometer route through the English Garden, offering visitors free trials of bicycles, e-bikes, and e-scooters. Additionally, Ludwigstrasse near Schellingstrasse will host the Cycling Activation Area, featuring realistic test modules including gravel sections, speed bumps, and inclines. Visitors can test cargo bikes, e-bikes, and e-scooters under realistic urban conditions. The diverse program also includes a mountain bike course for kids, safety training for seniors, concerts, group rides, and BMX stunt shows.
A special highlight of IAA MOBILITY is once again the Family Trail, where exhibitors from the IAA Open Space invite families to explore the mobility of tomorrow through interactive stations, test opportunities, and playful activities for children. The Siegestor stage will host live performances and thematic days focusing on careers, families, and the younger generation. At Citizens Lab at Marienplatz, visitors can discuss their ideas and visions for urban mobility with experts from politics, business, and academia.
IAA Summit – The Hub for Decision-Makers
The IAA Summit is the premier gathering for stakeholders in mobility, sustainability, and tech. No other event brings together such a high number of industry leaders from automotive, mobility, and tech sectors. Across six stages, international industry and thought leaders from automotive, supply chains, technology, cycling, infrastructure, services, politics, and society will address key issues shaping future mobility. Focus areas include “Europe’s Competitiveness in a New Era of Globalization,” “The Many Facets of Software-Defined Vehicles,” “Economic Transformation in the Industry,” and “Sustainable Mobility and Society.”
A new feature this year is Masterclasses, where companies conduct in-depth sessions for experts and enthusiasts, covering vehicle charging, circularity, multimodal mobility, automated driving, and infrastructure. Visitors will also gain exclusive insights into current research and technological milestones. The Summit offers an ideal environment for forming strategic partnerships and publicly announcing collaborations. It targets top executives and leaders in strategy, procurement, R&D, manufacturing, product development, sales, fleet management, HR, and other departments.
New Slogan Reflects Long-term Strategy
The new slogan “It’s All About MOBILITY” reflects the evolution of the renowned IAA brand into a comprehensive mobility platform, covering a wide range of topics—from cutting-edge two- and four-wheel vehicle technologies and infrastructure solutions to software developments and emerging mobility trends. Since its transformation in 2021, IAA MOBILITY has expanded its scope to include all facets of mobility, and the new slogan underscores this broadened focus.
“Bringing the IAA to Munich and adapting its concept to the current zeitgeist marked a significant milestone in the event’s history. With this strategic move, we not only significantly expanded IAA MOBILITY’s global reach as a leading platform for mobility, sustainability, and tech, but also drove its growing importance forward. After seeing how successful the new IAA MOBILITY concept was in 2021 and 2023—and how enthusiastically it was received—we look to the upcoming event with great confidence. IAA MOBILITY has firmly established itself as the central meeting point for innovations and future topics in the mobility industry,” says VDA Managing Director Jürgen Mindel.
